OUR OCTOBER MISSION REPORT!

Once again we praise God for the past month, and wish to appreciate our God for all His mercies toward us, as we look forward to a more rewarding months ahead of us. God’s grace has been very profound on us all here in the Philippines!

We want to praise God for triumphing over the traumas associated with the last month’s devastating earthquake that hit parts of the Philippines. It was a very terrible experience to say the least – better heard than experienced. In fact that made it the second earthquake we’re witnessing in our five years of our stay here. We thank God for His protection over us all!

(Missionaries Kanayo & Ngozi Uchime)

We’re still focused on our mission to the Badjao tribal people. We keep praying daily that the Holy Spirit will do a quick work on their lives. Scores of them are trooping into Dumaguete City as a result of so many fiestas here, and the forthcoming Christmas festivities that are picking-up gradually. A lot of resources are needed for an effective ministry amongst them. We’ve started to plan for our annual Christmas party for them this December.

Our intended travel to Nigeria is still in focus, and our desire to purchase early cheap tickets by this December is still on our mind. We’re trusting God for a budget of $4, 100 for our international/local flights.

 (Faithfully serving our Badjao friends)

Please help us praise God for our daughter Miracle, who turned 18 years October 30. We had a very low-keyed commemoration for her. She’s now in her 3rd year Info Tech at Negros Oriental State University (NORSU).

Prayer Points:
1. Help us pray for a rewarding ministry amongst the Badjao tribal people and God’s manifold provision of resources to reach out to them in love!
2. Pray for our planned travel to Nigeria first quarter next year, and for God provision of funds for our flight tickets.
3. We just survived the trauma of aftershock when the devastating earthquake hit parts of the Philippines last month. Help us praise and thank God for His protection on us.
4. Pray as we trust God for more monthly donors for our numerous mission projects.

Our Planned Mission Furlough to Nigeria!

.
Having lived and served as career Christian missionaries in the Philippines, Southeast Asia for these past five years, we think it’s time for us to take stock of what the Lord God has done and is doing in our lives as long-term foreign missionaries. This is the reason why we’ve started to consider retiring back to Nigeria in order kick-start another round of inland mission work there by His grace

We strongly believe that this planned move is strategic, and also the leading of God for us at this material time. We’re always very careful in following God’s will for us! When we finally get back to Nigeria in few years from now, our work will be mainly to train and mobilize the younger missionaries for the global missions.

(Missionaries Kanayo & Ngozi Uchime)

To commence this eventual withdrawal to Nigeria, we’ve decided to take a vacation of a few months to Nigeria early next year. Our idea is to survey a lot of things, do wider consultation with some of our mentors/supporters, and also seek their counsel and guidance. Some or even most of them have been experiencing born-out or what may be called donor fatigue. The reason for this is simple, definitely as a result of our long absence from home. This then informs the reason for us to get home and sensitize again them for future involvement in the remaining segment of our mission work here in the Philippines.

Further to that, during the vacation, we’ll do a memorial service for our late daughter Nkeoma, who went to be with the Lord by April this year. We’ll also fix a mission awareness/thanksgiving fellowship, a forum where we intend to meet with some of our supporter.  Some we’ve never met formerly, and some we met over five years ago. It’s also in our agenda to visit lots of churches across Nigeria, and the idea for all these mission activities is to raise more support – financial and prayer.

Raising the support in Nigeria will greatly enable us plan better when we get back to the Philippines on the planned movement back home. We’re of the opinion that our effective time of final retirement back to Nigeria will be in the next two years or so from now, God willing.

(Kanay & Ngozi Nigerian Missionaries serving the Badjao tribal people
here in Dumaguete City, Philippines)

The final movement in few years coming will take a lot from us, in terms of getting a new home, and setting up a ministry base in Nigeria. Our children also have to be fixed in their proper schools where they’ll continue their education unhindered.

For I and my wife to embark on the vacation early next year, we’re looking at a whopping four thousand Dollars ($4, 000) and above. This amount looks very staggering and scaring to us, but we trust God who sent us out here way back in 2008, who was able to raise over $10, 000 for our air-ticket and our start up fund to do it again!

What we need now is your unalloyed prayer support, and as you pray and the good Lord blesses you, which  He always does, and you want to be a blessing to us, our Nigeria account (for those in Nigeria) is still open. All you need do is to donate using this account info:

Or you may use our online donation, and to do so, please click here: http://kmointer.webs.com/giveyourdonation.htm. To view more of our mission past mission reports and pictures, also click here: http://kmointer.webs.com/apps/blog/

KANAYO & NGOZI MISSION REPORT!

OUR SEPTEMBER MISSION REPORT!

All glory to our God for the just concluded month – September. He has continued to shield us from all harm, and what’s more His grace has always been upon us as we traverse from one mission location to another here in the Philippines!

We bring you a praise report! Remember last time, we told you about our plan to renew our Immigration visas, yes! God as usual provided the needed fund for it, and our visas renewals have been concluded - praise God! At a time we’re wondering and thinking how and where the fund will come from, our Lord went ahead of us to make provisions for us.

(Kanayo and his assistant Pastor Nick with some Badjao
at the Boulevard, Dumaguete City, Philippines)

There has been a great influx of the Badjao tribal people here in Dumaguete City for the past months. This can be attributed to the continued unrest in Zamboanga City, as they’re always caught up in cross-fire between the Government and the rebel forces. This has caused a lot of challenge for us, as we make efforts to squeeze ourselves in order to reach out to scores of them.

Again, we’re still pushing forward our desire to retire back to Nigeria to continue with the inland mission work there in the nearest future. We'll be visiting Nigeria early next year for our vacation. Please put us in your daily prayer as we keep believing God to avail early cheap tickets that is still on now till December.
                                                                                                  (Ngozi serving the Badjao)

Prayer Points:
1. Pray for the Badjao tribal people as they throng the Boulevard area here in Dumaguete City, on a daily bases, and pray that God will open financial doors for us so we can effectively minister to them!

2. Pray for funds to come so we can avail the early promo prices.

3. Pray for safety and protection as we traverse our neighborhood for mission work. There are many arrows around, but the Lord’s seeing us through all of them.

4. Pray as we trust God for more monthly donors for our numerous mission projects.

5. Pray for financial open doors to enable us purchase our early tickets for our vacation to Nigeria early 2014.

Thanks so much for praying along with us! If while you’re praying and the good Lord lays it in your heart to donate to our mission work, please use any of our Nigeria local Naira accounts. They're as follows:  GT Bank Plc, Acct. name: Success Kanayo Uchime, Acct. Number (Naira) 0115100140
